Where Is the Practice and How Can You Find It?

AC CLINIC is at Cumhuriyet Mahallesi 1356. Sokak No: 144/A in Altınordu, Ordu's central district. It is on the street behind Final Okulları, off Şehir Hastanesi Bulvarı. The clinic is on the ground floor at street level, with direct access through the street entrance.

You can reach the practice in central Ordu by public transport or your own vehicle. Using the directions link is more practical than typing the address into your phone; the map application directs you to the entrance. Ask about parking, lifts and disabled access when booking. We prefer to give you current information rather than assume these details here.

The clinic takes its name from the AC CLINIC sign at reception. "Per aspera ad astra" (through hardships to the stars), written on the waiting-room wall, is a reminder of the clinic's approach: recovery is often achieved step by step rather than all at once.

What Happens at the First Consultation?

The first consultation begins with listening to your symptoms. You are asked when pain started, where it is, which movements worsen it, whether it disturbs sleep and how much it limits daily life. Previous operations, medicines, accompanying conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, and anticoagulant use are also recorded because they affect diagnosis and treatment planning.

A physical examination follows: joint range, tender areas, muscle strength, ligament stability and walking are assessed. Knee symptoms prompt examination of hip and foot alignment; shoulder symptoms prompt examination of the neck, because the source of pain is not always where it is felt.

Any X-rays, MRI or CT images you bring are reviewed with you. If imaging is needed, the test and reason are explained. The aim is for you to leave with two things clear: your diagnosis and the next step. Options, expected duration and possible risks are explained plainly, and decisions are made together.

Which Procedures Are Performed at the Practice?

The practice is equipped for diagnosis, outpatient treatment and follow-up. The main procedures available here include:

  • Orthopaedic examination and assessment of existing X-rays, MRI and CT scans
  • Ultrasound assessment of muscles, tendons and joints
  • Intra-articular and soft-tissue injections (corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid) and regenerative treatments (PRP and similar methods)
  • Casts, splints and bandages; cast and splint checks and removal
  • Dressings, stitch removal and wound monitoring
  • Postoperative follow-up and review of the movement and weight-bearing programme
  • Guidance on the use of orthoses, knee braces, insoles and walking sticks

A Note on Regenerative Treatments

Evidence for regenerative methods such as PRP, stem cells and exosomes remains under investigation, and they are not suitable for every patient. Suitability is assessed during consultation according to your diagnosis, disease stage and expectations. For a comparison, see the regenerative and non-surgical treatments page.

Where Are Operations Performed?

The practice is not a surgical centre. All operations, including joint replacement, arthroscopy, fracture surgery and hand surgery, are performed in hospital. Diagnosis, the shared decision about surgery and preoperative explanations take place at the practice; postoperative reviews also continue here.

The hospital planned for surgery, admission arrangements, expected stay and timing of the first postoperative review are explained fully during consultation. You can also ask when booking.

Opening Hours and Appointments

The clinic generally operates Monday – Saturday, 08:30 – 18:00. Hours may vary on surgical days or because of academic commitments, so we recommend booking before travelling.

You can contact us by phone or WhatsApp to book. Including your name, symptoms and the district or city you will travel from in your WhatsApp message helps us offer a suitable time. See contact and appointments for details.

If You Are Travelling from Another City

AC CLINIC receives patients from central Ordu and surrounding areas including Ünye, Fatsa, Perşembe, Gülyalı, Bulancak and Giresun. Mention travel arrangements when booking; wherever possible, examination and any necessary imaging are planned for the same day.

If travelling from Ünye or nearby, read orthopaedic care for patients from Ünye for travel and appointment planning. A distance and journey-time table for other districts and provinces is on the contact page.

What Should I Do in an Emergency?

The practice is not a 7/24 emergency department. For a suspected new fracture, dislocation, open wound or cut, gunshot or workplace injury, crushing, finger or limb amputation, or a hand or foot becoming blue and cold, call 112 or attend the nearest hospital emergency department.

After emergency treatment, you can book at the clinic for follow-up, checks or a second opinion if needed. For initial steps in orthopaedic emergencies, see fractures, dislocations and orthopaedic emergencies.
